Description
Activated carbon filters are used for purifying dissolved gases, residues and organic matter that give water unwanted color, taste and odor. Activated carbon has a very large surface area and performs physico-chemical purification. These filters work automatically and are renewed with automatic flushing of 15-20 minutes every day. An important element is that activated carbon can create a suitable environment for bacterial growth as it accumulates organic matter. For this reason, water disinfection before and after the activated carbon filter is important.
